About Us

Welcome to the Snohomish County Council of the Blind (SCCB) where connection, advocacy, and adventure come together.
We are a proud affiliate of both the Washington Council of the Blind and the American Council of the Blind, united in our mission to empower individuals who are blind or visually impaired by our peers and allies. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, SCCB is committed to fostering inclusion, independence, and community through resources, advocacy and adventures.

What We Do:
At SCCB, we believe that support and advocacy thrive in community. Our members gather monthly for:

  • Business Meetings: Stay informed, get involved, and see real world changes.
  • Support Groups: Held via Zoom, these sessions offer a safe, welcoming space to share, listen, and grow together.
  • Events That Inspire
We don’t just meet, we adventure. Our calendar is packed with activities that bring people together and celebrate life beyond limits:
    • Rock climbing
    • Corn mazes
    • Ferry trips
    • Lunch Bunch outings
    • And plenty more!
Whether you’re scaling a wall or sharing a meal, every SCCB event is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and full of heart.
SCCB stands for Snohomish County Council of the Blind. We are an affiliate of Washington Council of the Blind and American Council of the Blind.
